Sub-Saharan Africa faces a critical juncture: with millions dying daily from preventable diseases like Malaria and TB, what’s stopping the widespread use of traditional medicine – the most accessible and affordable system for treating illness in the developing world? Our short film spotlights Integrative Medicine Foundation’s work with local communities in Africa to support solutions that embrace traditional medicine. Shot during a six-week visit to our pilot program in Buyijja, Uganda, the film includes interviews with Dr. Hadi Ali and Dr. Sekagya Yahaya and documents our work creating infrastructure vital for the research and development of traditional medicine, and the reduction of the spread of disease. The film is produced and narrated by Paige Ruane.
